'Vax' has been picked as the expression of the year by the Oxford English Dictionary (OED), the media revealed. Because of the continuous Covid-19 pandemic, words identified with immunizations spiked in recurrence in 2021, with twofold vaxxed, unvaxxed and against vaxxer all seeing a flood being used, the BBC revealed. Vax was a conspicuous decision as it has made "the most striking effect", OED senior proofreader Fiona McPherson was cited as saying.
